Challenges of Blogging

While blogging is a valuable learning tool, it also presents certain challenges:

  1. Maintaining consistency
Regular posting after each unit requires time management and self-discipline.
  2. Developing critical reflection skills
Moving beyond descriptive writing to analytical and reflective thinking can be challenging initially.
  3. Technical and design challenges
Organizing posts, formatting content, and ensuring readability on blogging platforms like Google Blogger require basic digital skills.
  4. Engaging meaningfully with peers
Writing constructive comments and reflective responses requires thoughtful engagement rather than superficial interaction.
    Overcoming Challenges

    • Maintaining consistency – Set a fixed posting schedule and use a simple reflection template to make regular blogging manageable and timely.

    • Developing critical reflection skills – Use frameworks like Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle to move from descriptive writing to analytical and reflective thinking.

    • Technical and design challenges – Maintain a consistent layout, use headings and bullet points, and practice basic Blogger formatting to improve readability.

    • Engaging meaningfully with peers – Write structured comments that acknowledge ideas, share personal insights, and ask reflective questions for deeper interaction.
